Bouchard Père & Fils Montrachet Grand Cru 2022 is one of the world's most extraordinary white wines — a wine that has defined the pinnacle of Chardonnay for centuries. Bouchard Père & Fils is the largest single owner of Montrachet, holding a precious 0.89 hectares of this legendary 8-hectare Grand Cru vineyard straddling the border of Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet on the Côte de Beaune. The 2022 vintage produced Chardonnay of exceptional ripeness, concentration, and mineral precision — widely regarded as one of the finest recent vintages in Burgundy.
Tasting Notes
- Aroma: Profound and complex with white flowers, citrus blossom, white peach, hazelnut, toasted brioche, and a deep, resonant mineral character from the ancient limestone soils
- Palate: Extraordinary richness and precision — layers of stone fruit, lemon curd, almond, and subtle oak framed by vibrant acidity and a chalky mineral backbone of breathtaking intensity
- Finish: Seemingly endless, with a purity and length that is the hallmark of truly great Montrachet
