From the cool, high-altitude vineyards of Skilly Valley and Penwortham in the Clare Valley, Kilikanoon's Killerman's Run Pinot Gris 2024 sits in the middle ground between a lean Pinot Grigio and a rich Alsace-style Pinot Gris — fresh, mineral and aromatic, with enough texture to be genuinely satisfying. Nashi pear, green apple, lime and acacia blossom on the nose, with gentle herbal notes adding depth. The palate delivers fresh pear, ripe lime, green apple and quince, complemented by subtle hints of cinnamon and clove, a rounded silky texture and bright, fine acidity. A small parcel retained a touch of natural grape sugar, adding structure without sweetness. Clean and lingering on the finish. Bronze medal, Clare Valley Wine Show 2024.
