Maude Wines Pinot Gris 2026 750ml

From one of Central Otago's most respected boutique producers, Maude's Pinot Gris 2026 is a richer, more textural expression of the variety — an intriguing option for Chardonnay lovers curious about what Pinot Gris can do. Sourced from multiple sub-regions including Gibbston Valley, Bendigo, Lowburn and Wanaka, the blend brings together aromatic intensity, concentration and freshness in a single wine. Forty percent of the juice was fermented in seasoned French oak barriques, with the remainder in stainless steel — the oak adding texture and a subtle creaminess, while stainless steel preserves the wine's fragrant aromatics. The 2026 growing season was cool, long and late, with harvest extending into late April, allowing full flavour development and excellent natural acidity. Quince, pear drop, musk, stone fruit and perfumed floral notes on the nose; generous and textured on the palate with ripe and poached pear, stone fruit and gentle spice. Good length on the finish.
