Ross Hill 'Isabelle' Cabernet Sauvignon 2022 is a bold and elegant cool-climate red from one of Orange's most celebrated family estates. Named after a member of the Ross Hill family, the 'Isabelle' label represents the pinnacle of their Cabernet Sauvignon program — sourced from high-altitude estate vineyards on the slopes of Mount Canobolas, where cool nights and a long growing season produce fruit of exceptional intensity, structure, and finesse.

Tasting Notes

  • Aroma: Blackcurrant, dark plum, a touch of mint, cedar, and warm spice
  • Palate: Full-bodied and well-structured with refined tannins, concentrated cassis and dark berry fruit, and layers of earth, tobacco, and subtle oak complexity
  • Finish: Long, smooth, and persistently elegant — a hallmark of cool-climate Cabernet

Winemaking

  • Single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from Orange, NSW, grown at high altitude
  • Fermented in open-top fermenters with extended maceration for tannin structure
  • Aged in French oak for complexity and integration
  • Minimal intervention to honour the vineyard's cool-climate character
